The Temple Measured and the Two Witnesses
11:1And a reed like a rod was given to me, with the words, “Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and those worshiping in it.
11:2And leave out the court outside the temple, and do not measure it, because it was given to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months.
The Two Olive Trees and the Two Lampstands
11:3And I will grant authority to My two witnesses, and they will prophesy for a thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”
11:4These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the Lord of the earth.
11:5And if anyone wishes to harm them, fire comes out of their mouth and devours their enemies; and if anyone should wish to harm them, in this way he must be killed.
11:6These have authority to shut heaven, so that rain may not fall during the days of their prophecy; and they have authority over the waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with every plague as often as they wish.
The Witnesses Killed and Raised
11:7And when they complete their testimony, the beast coming up from the abyss will make war with them and conquer them and kill them.
11:8And their dead body lies upon the broad street of the great city, which is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.
11:9And people from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations look at their dead body for three and a half days, and do not allow their dead bodies to be placed in a tomb.
11:10And those dwelling upon the earth rejoice over them and make merry, and will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those dwelling upon the earth.
11:11And after the three and a half days a spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell upon those watching them.
11:12And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them.
11:13And in that hour a great earthquake occurred, and a tenth of the city fell, and seven thousand human names were killed in the earthquake; and the rest became fearful and gave glory to the God of heaven.
11:14The second woe has passed. Look, the third woe is coming quickly.
The Seventh Trumpet
11:15And the seventh angel sounded, and loud voices arose in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign for the ages of the ages.”
11:16And the twenty-four elders sitting upon their thrones before God fell upon their faces and worshiped God,
11:17saying, “We give You thanks, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and reigned.
11:18And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, and to give the reward to Your slaves the prophets and to the saints and to those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those destroying the earth.”
The Ark Seen in Heaven
11:19And God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple; and there were lightnings and voices and thunders and an earthquake and great hail.
