The Bowls of God’s Wrath
16:1And I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the seven bowls of God’s fury into the earth.”
The First Bowl
16:2And the first went and poured out his bowl into the earth, and a bad and painful sore came upon the people having the mark of the beast and worshiping its image.
The Second Bowl
16:3And the second poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood like a dead person’s, and every living soul died, the things in the sea.
The Third Bowl
16:4And the third poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of the waters, and they became blood.
16:5And I heard the angel of the waters saying, “You are righteous, the One who is and who was, the Holy One, because You judged these things.
16:6Because they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, You have also given them blood to drink; they are worthy of it.”
16:7And I heard the altar saying, “Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.”
The Fourth Bowl
16:8And the fourth poured out his bowl upon the sun, and it was given to it to scorch people with fire.
16:9And people were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, who has authority over these plagues, and did not repent to give Him glory.
The Fifth Bowl
16:10And the fifth poured out his bowl upon the beast’s throne, and its kingdom became darkened, and they were chewing their tongues because of the pain,
16:11and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their works.
The Sixth Bowl
16:12And the sixth poured out his bowl upon the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the rising of the sun might be prepared.
16:13And I saw from the dragon’s mouth and from the beast’s mouth and from the false prophet’s mouth three unclean spirits like frogs.
16:14For they are spirits of demons performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole inhabited world to gather them for the war of the great day of God Almighty.
16:15“Look, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who watches and keeps his garments, so that he may not walk naked and they see his shame.”
16:16And they gathered them to the place called in Hebrew Harmagedon.
The Seventh Bowl
16:17And the seventh poured out his bowl upon the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying, “It has happened.”
16:18And there were lightnings and voices and thunders, and a great earthquake occurred, such as had not occurred since human beings came to be upon the earth—so mighty an earthquake, so great.
16:19And the great city became three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fury of His wrath.
16:20And every island fled, and mountains were not found.
16:21And great hail, about a talent in weight, comes down from heaven upon people; and people blasphemed God because of the plague of hail, because its plague is exceedingly great.
