The Tree of Life Again, and a River Through the City

The River of the Water of Life
22:1And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, coming out of the throne of God and of the Lamb,
22:2in the middle of its broad street. And on this side and that side of the river was a tree of life bearing twelve fruits, yielding its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
22:3And no accursed thing will be any more. And the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His slaves will serve Him,
22:4and they will see His face, and His name will be upon their foreheads.
22:5And night will be no more, and they have no need of lamplight and sunlight, because the Lord God will shine upon them, and they will reign for the ages of the ages.
These Words Are Faithful and True
22:6And he said to me, “These words are faithful and true, and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show His slaves the things that must take place soon.”
22:7“And look, I am coming quickly. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this scroll.”
22:8And I, John, am the one hearing and seeing these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell to worship before the feet of the angel showing me these things.
22:9And he says to me, “See that you do not! I am your fellow slave and of your brothers the prophets and of those keeping the words of this scroll. Worship God.”
22:10And he says to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this scroll, for the time is near.
22:11Let the one doing wrong do wrong still, and let the filthy one be filthy still, and let the righteous one do righteousness still, and let the holy one be sanctified still.”
I Am Coming Quickly
22:12“Look, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to repay each according to what his work is.
22:13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
22:14Blessed are those washing their robes, so that their authority may be over the tree of life, and they may enter through the gates into the city.
22:15Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the sexually immoral and the murderers and the idolaters and everyone loving and practicing falsehood.
The Root and Offspring of David
22:16“I, Jesus, sent My angel to testify these things to you for the Churches. I am the Root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star.”
22:17And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who thirsts come; let the one who wishes take water of life freely.
A Warning About This Book
22:18I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues written in this scroll.
22:19And if anyone takes away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God will take away his share from the tree of life and from the holy city, the things written in this scroll.
Come, Lord Jesus
22:20The One testifying these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
22:21The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
