Similitude 10.4.1Then he said to me, “Conduct yourself courageously in this ministry. Declare the Lord’s mighty deeds to every person, and you will have favor in this ministry. Therefore whoever walks in these commandments will live and be blessed in his life. But whoever neglects them will not live and will be wretched in his life.
Similitude 10.4.2Tell everyone who can act rightly not to cease, for practicing good works benefits them. I say that every person must be rescued from hardships. For the person who is in need and suffers hardships in daily life is in great torment and distress.
Similitude 10.4.3Whoever rescues such a soul from distress therefore acquires great joy for himself. For the person troubled by such hardship is tortured by suffering equal to that which torments someone in chains. Many, indeed, because of such calamities, when they cannot endure them, bring death upon themselves. Whoever knows of such a person’s calamity and does not rescue him therefore commits a great sin and becomes guilty of his blood.
Similitude 10.4.4Therefore do good works, all of you who have received from the Lord, lest, while you delay doing them, the building of the tower be completed. For the work of building it has been suspended for your sake. Unless you hurry, therefore, to act rightly, the tower will be completed and you will be shut out.”
Similitude 10.4.5After he had spoken with me, he rose from the couch and departed, taking the shepherd and the virgins with him. But he told me that he would send that shepherd and the virgins back into my house.
