Similitude 8.8.1“Those who handed over rods half green and half dry are those entangled in business affairs who do not cling to the saints. For this reason, one half of them lives, but the other half is dead.
Similitude 8.8.2“Many, therefore, heard my commandments and repented. Those who repented have their dwelling in the tower. But some of them fell away completely. These have no repentance, for because of their business affairs they blasphemed and denied the Lord. They therefore lost their life through the wickedness they committed.
Similitude 8.8.3“Many among them became double-minded. These still have repentance if they repent quickly, and their dwelling will be in the tower. If they repent more slowly, they will dwell within the walls. But if they do not repent, they too have lost their life.
Similitude 8.8.4“Those who handed over rods two parts green and the third dry are those who denied in various ways.
Similitude 8.8.5“Many of them repented and went to dwell in the tower. Many, however, fell away completely from God; these utterly lost life. Some became double-minded and divided. Repentance is available to these if they repent quickly and do not persist in their pleasures. But if they persist in their conduct, these too bring death upon themselves.
