2:1These are the sons of the land who came up from the captivity of the deportation, whom Nabouchodonosor king of Babylon had deported to Babylon. They returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each man to his own city,
2:2who came with Zorobabel: Iesous, Neemias, Saraias, Reelias, Mardochaios, Balasan, Masphar, Bagoui, Reoum and Baana. The number of the men of the people of Israel:

2:56the sons of Ieela, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Gedel;
2:57The sons of Saphatia, the sons of Atil, the sons of Phacherath-aseboin, the sons of Emi.
2:58All the Nathinin and the sons of Abdeselma: three hundred and ninety-two.
Unverified Genealogies
2:59These came up from Thelmeleth, Thelaresha, Charoub, Edan and Emmer, but they were unable to declare their family house and their descent, whether they were from Israel:
2:60the sons of Dalaia, the sons of Boua, the sons of Tobia and the sons of Nekoda: six hundred and fifty-two.
2:61And from the sons of the priests: the sons of Chabia, the sons of Akous and the sons of Berzellai, who had taken a wife from the daughters of Berzellai the Galaadite and was called by their name.
2:62These—the methoesim—sought their record, but they were not found, and they were excluded from the priesthood on grounds of descent.
2:63Athersatha told them not to eat from the holy of holies until a priest arose with the illuminating things and the perfect things.
The Assembly, Animals and Offerings
2:64The whole assembly, as one, was forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty,
2:65apart from their male slaves and female slaves, these being seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven; and these male and female singers were two hundred.
2:66Their horses were seven hundred and thirty-six; their mules, two hundred and forty-five;
2:67their camels, four hundred and thirty-five; their donkeys, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
2:68Some of the family leaders, when they came to the Lord’s house in Jerusalem, made freewill offerings for the house of God, to establish it on its prepared place.
2:69According to their ability, they gave to the treasury for the work: pure gold, sixty-one thousand minas; silver, five thousand minas; and one hundred priests’ kothonoi.
2:70The priests, the Levites, those from the people, the singers, the gatekeepers and the Nathinim settled in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
