Greek adds the closing identification. Its thysia means sacrifice generally; the ingredients identify this offering as cereal.
Rabbinic reception. Rashi emphasizes the poor person who can bring grain: God regards that gift as though the giver offered his own soul. This is homiletic interpretation of the Hebrew word for a person. Rashi, Leviticus 2:1
