Rabbinic reception. Rashi associates thanksgiving offerings with deliverance from a sea voyage, wilderness journey, illness, or imprisonment, drawing on Psalm 107. These examples interpret the occasion for the offering. Rashi, Leviticus 7:12

Saints reception — thematic application. Hebrews speaks of praise, doing good, and sharing as sacrifices pleasing to God. Its Christian application does not alter the ingredients of this thanksgiving rite. Hebrews 13:15–16
