Your Dead Shall Live; Their Bodies Shall Rise

The Song in Judah’s Land
26:1On that day they will sing this song in Judah’s land, saying, “Look, a fortified city! He will make our salvation a wall and an encircling wall.
26:2Open the gates; let a people enter, keeping righteousness and keeping truth,
26:3holding fast to truth and keeping peace. For in You
26:4they hoped, Lord, forever, the great, everlasting God,
26:5You who humbled and brought down those dwelling on high. You will cast down fortified cities and bring them to the ground,
26:6and the feet of the meek and lowly will trample them.
26:7The way of the devout became straight, and the way of the devout is prepared.
26:8For the Lord’s way is judgment. We hoped in Your name and in the remembrance
From Night My Spirit Watches
26:9which our soul desires. From night my spirit rises early toward You, God, because Your ordinances are light upon the earth. Learn righteousness, you dwelling upon the earth!
26:10For the ungodly has ceased; he will certainly not learn righteousness upon the earth or practice truth. Let the ungodly be removed, so that he may not see the Lord’s glory.
26:11Lord, Your arm is high, and they did not know; when they know, they will be ashamed. Zeal will seize an undisciplined people, and now fire will consume the opponents.
26:12Lord our God, give us peace, for You have repaid everything to us.
Lord Our God, Acquire Us
26:13Lord our God, acquire us! Lord, we know no other besides You; we name Your name.
26:14The dead will certainly not see life, nor will physicians raise them. Therefore You brought calamity, destroyed and removed every male of theirs.
26:15Add evils to them, Lord; add evils to all the earth’s glorious people!
26:16Lord, in affliction I remembered You; in slight affliction Your discipline was for us.
Birth Pangs and the Rising of the Dead
26:17Like a woman in labor nearing childbirth and crying out in her pang, so we became toward Your beloved because of fear of You, Lord.
26:18We conceived, labored and gave birth; we produced the spirit of Your salvation upon the earth, but those dwelling upon the earth will fall.
26:19The dead will rise, those in the tombs will be awakened, and those in the earth will rejoice, for the dew from You is healing to them; but the ungodly’s earth will fall.”
26:20Go, My people, enter your inner rooms, shut your door, hide for a little, a very little while, until the Lord’s wrath passes.
The Lord Brings Wrath from the Holy Place
26:21For look, the Lord brings wrath from the holy place upon those dwelling on the earth. The earth will uncover its blood and will not cover those killed.
