All forty-seven Greek source verses were reviewed against Rahlfs–Hanhart’s publisher running text, with all forty-seven BHS verses and the complete companion notes checked independently. Source chapters contain fourteen, fourteen and nineteen verses. Source 2:1 corresponds to common English 1:15; source 2:2–14 corresponds to common English 2:1–13. Cross-verse clauses remain continuous and no reading unit has been added or removed.

The corrected Greek wording clarifies the coordinated objects at 2:3, restores repeated sound at 3:2, renders battlefield casualties as slain at 3:3, preserves the passive at 3:10 and restores for yourself with the contextual siege sense at 3:14. Full explanations and the independent Hebrew correction at 1:12 are recorded in the linked companion.

Rashi on 1:7 and Augustine, City of God XVIII.31, were verified in their registered online presentations. Augustine interprets the connected 1:14–2:2 passage christologically; his English presentation’s quotation does not change the selected Greek. Textual and reception notes remain separate from the reading.
