They briefly reported to those around Peter everything that had been commanded. After these things Jesus Himself sent out through them, from east as far as west, the holy and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation. They went out and proclaimed everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word through the accompanying signs.

Now Jesus also did many other signs before the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and so that, believing, you may have life in His name.

This is the disciple who bears witness about these things and who wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true. And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which, if each one were written, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books being written.
