Greek Psalm 84

Mercy and Truth Have Met; Righteousness and Peace Have Kissed

84:1For the end.

A psalm for the sons of Korah.

84:2You took pleasure in Your land, Lord;

You turned back Jacob’s captivity.

84:3You forgave Your people their acts of lawlessness;

You covered all their sins.

Diapsalma.

84:4You stopped all Your wrath;

You turned away from the anger of Your fury.

84:5Turn us back, God of our deliverances,

and turn Your fury away from us.

84:6Surely You will not be angry with us forever,

or extend Your wrath from generation to generation?

84:7God, You will turn back and give us life,

and Your people will rejoice in You.

84:8Show us Your mercy, Lord,

and may You give us Your salvation.

84:9I will hear what the Lord God will speak within me,

for He will speak peace upon His people

and upon His holy ones

and upon those who turn their heart toward Him.

84:10Nevertheless His salvation is near those who fear Him,

so that glory may dwell in our land.

84:11Mercy and truth met;

righteousness and peace kissed.

84:12Truth sprang up from the earth,

and righteousness looked down from heaven.

84:13For the Lord will also give goodness,

and our land will give its fruit.

84:14Righteousness will go ahead before Him

and set His footsteps on a path.
