Early Christian literature. The Epistle of Barnabas is presented for historical and devotional study. Authorship by the Barnabas of Acts is not established; its inclusion does not give its interpretations apostolic or universally canonical authority. Its covenant polemic should be read alongside Romans 9–11. Quoted ancient wording is preserved; editorial summaries must identify it as the author’s interpretation. See Barnabas 4 and 14.
