The Lot of Simeon
19:1The second lot came out for the sons of Simeon, and their inheritance lay amid the lots of the sons of Judah.
19:2Their lot was Beer-sheba, Samaa, and Koladam,
19:3Arsola, Bola, and Asom,
19:4Elthoula, Boula, and Hormah,
19:5Ziklag, Bethmachereb, and Sarsousin,
19:6Batharoth and their fields: thirteen cities, with their villages.
19:7Eremmon, Thalcha, Ether, and Ashan: four cities, with their villages
19:8around their cities as far as Barek, going toward Bameth on the southwest. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Simeon according to their divisions.
19:9The inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Simeon came from Judah’s lot, because the portion of the sons of Judah was larger than theirs. So the sons of Simeon inherited amid their lot.
The Lot of Zebulun
19:10The third lot came out for Zebulun according to their divisions. The borders of their inheritance shall be Esedek,
19:11Gola; their borders are the sea and Maragella. It shall join Beth-arabah at the ravine facing Jekman.
19:12It turned back from Seddouk opposite the east, to Bethsamys at the borders of Chaselothaith; it will pass to Daberoth and ascend to Phangai.
19:13From there it will turn opposite the east toward Gebere, toward the city of Katasem, and pass to Remmona, Amathar, Aoza.
19:14The boundary will turn on the north toward Amoth, and their endpoint shall be Gaiphael,
19:15with Katanath, Nabaal, Symoon, Jericho, and Bethman.
19:16This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun according to their divisions—cities and their villages.
The Lot of Issachar
19:17The fourth lot came out for Issachar.
19:18Their borders included Jazel, Chasaloth, and Shunem,
19:19Agin, Siona, Reeroth, and Anachereth,
19:20Dabiron, Kison, and Rebes,
19:21Remmas, Jeon, Tomman, Aimarek, and Bersaphes.
19:22The boundary shall join Gaithbor and Salim toward the sea and Bethsamys, and its boundary shall end at the Jordan.
19:23This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Issachar according to their divisions—the cities and their villages.
The Lot of Asher
19:24The fifth lot came out for Asher.
19:25Their borders extended from Eleketh, Aleph, Baithok, and Keaph,
19:26and Elimelech, Amiel, and Maasa; it shall join Carmel toward the sea, and Sion and Labanath.
19:27It shall turn from the sunrise to Bethegeneth and join Zebulun, and from Gai and Phtaiel on the north the boundary shall enter Saphthaibaithme and Inael and pass to Choba Masomel,
19:28and Elbon, Raab, Ememaon, and Kanthan, as far as Sidon the Great.
19:29The boundary shall turn to Ramah and as far as the spring of Masphassat and the Tyrians; the boundary shall turn to Jasiph, and its endpoint shall be the sea, and from Leb and Echozob,
19:30with Archob, Aphek, and Raau.
19:31This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Asher according to their divisions—cities and their villages.
The Lot of Naphtali
19:32The sixth lot came out for Naphtali.
19:33Their borders were Moolam, Mola, Besemiin, Arme, Nabok, and Jephthamai as far as Dodam, and their endpoints were the Jordan.
19:34The boundary shall turn toward the sea to Enath Tabor, pass from there to Jakana, join Zebulun on the south and Asher toward the sea, with the Jordan toward the sunrise.
19:35The walled cities of the Tyrians were Tyre and Omatha, Daketh and Chinnereth,
19:36Armaith, Arael, and Hazor,
19:37Kedesh, Assari, and the Spring of Hazor,
19:38Keroe, Megala, Arim, Beththame, and Thessamys.
19:39This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali.
The Lot of Dan
19:40The seventh lot came out for Dan.
19:41Their borders were Sarath and Asa, cities of Sammaus,
19:42Salabin, Ammon, and Silatha,
19:43Ailon, Timnah, and Ekron,
19:44Alkatha, Begethon, and Gebeelan,
19:45Azor, Banaibakat, and Gath-rimmon,
19:46From the sea, Jerakon was a boundary near Joppa.
19:47This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Dan according to their divisions—their cities and their villages.
19:47aThe sons of Dan did not drive out the Amorites who were pressing them in the hill country. The Amorites did not allow them to descend into the valley and pressed away from them the boundary of their allotted portion.
19:48The sons of Judah went and fought against Lachish, captured it, struck it with the edge of the sword, and inhabited it. They called its name Lasendak.
19:48aThe Amorites persisted in dwelling in Elom and Salamin. The hand of Ephraim grew heavy upon them, and they became tributary to them.
The Portion Given to Joshua
19:49They went to take possession of the land according to their boundary, and the sons of Israel gave Joshua son of Nun a lot among them,
19:50by God’s command. They gave him the city he requested, Thamnasarach, which is in the mountain of Ephraim. He built the city and lived in it.
19:51These are the divisions that Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the leaders of the ancestral houses among the tribes of Israel assigned as inheritances by lots at Shiloh before the Lord, beside the doors of the Tent of Testimony. They went to take possession of the land.
