Every Place Will Be Opened in David’s House

13:1On that day every place will be opened in David’s house.

The Idols and the False Prophets Removed

13:2On that day, says the Lord, I will destroy the idols’ names from the land, and there will no longer be remembrance of them. I will remove the false prophets and the unclean spirit from the land.

13:3If a person still prophesies, his father and mother who begot him will say to him, ‘You shall not live, because you spoke falsehoods in the Lord’s name.’ His father and mother who begot him will bind his feet when he prophesies.

13:4On that day the prophets will be ashamed, each because of his vision when he prophesies; they will wear a hairy skin because they lied.

13:5He will say, ‘I am no prophet; I am a man who works the earth, because a man begot me from my youth.’

13:6I will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your hands?’ He will say, ‘The ones with which I was struck in my beloved house.’

Sword, Awake Against My Shepherds

13:7Sword, awake against My shepherds, against the man who is My fellow citizen, says the Lord Almighty! Strike the shepherds and tear away the sheep; I will bring My hand against the shepherds.

13:8Throughout the land, says the Lord, the two parts will be destroyed and fail, but the third will remain in it.

13:9I will lead the third through fire, fire-refine them as silver is refined and test them as gold is tested. He will call on My name, and I will listen to him and say, ‘This is My people,’ and he will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’”
