On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover sacrifice had to be slaughtered, the disciples asked Jesus, “Where do You wish us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?” He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go into the city and prepare the Passover for us. A man carrying an earthenware jar of water will meet you. Follow him into the house he enters and say to its master, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I keep the Passover at your house with My disciples. Where is My guest room, where I may eat the Passover with them?’ He will show you a large upper room, furnished and ready. Prepare for us there.” They went, found everything as He had told them, and prepared the Passover.

When evening came and the hour arrived, Jesus came with the Twelve and reclined at table with the apostles.

And He said to them, “With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. For I tell you that I will certainly not eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” And He received a cup, gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves. For I tell you, from now on I will certainly not drink from the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”
