But standing beside Jesus’ cross were His mother and His mother’s sister, Mary of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. Then Jesus, seeing His mother and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, says to His mother, “Woman, behold your son.” Then He says to the disciple, “Behold your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his own home.
