He Remembered His Holy Word to Abraham His Servant

104:1Hallelujah.
Give thanks to the Lord and call upon His name;
announce His works among the nations.
104:2Sing to Him and make music to Him;
recount all His wonders.
104:3Be praised in His holy name;
let the heart of those seeking the Lord rejoice.
104:4Seek the Lord and be strengthened;
seek His face continually.
104:5Remember His wonders that He did,
His portents and the judgments of His mouth,
104:6offspring of Abraham, His servants,
sons of Jacob, His chosen ones.
104:7He is the Lord our God;
His judgments are in all the earth.
104:8He remembered His covenant forever,
the word He commanded for a thousand generations,
104:9which He covenanted with Abraham,
and His oath to Isaac;
104:10He established it for Jacob as an ordinance
and for Israel as an everlasting covenant,
104:11saying, To you I will give the land of Canaan,
the measured portion of your inheritance,
104:12when they were small in number,
very few, and sojourners in it,
104:13and passed from nation to nation,
from a kingdom to another people.
104:14He allowed no person to wrong them
and rebuked kings on their behalf:
104:15Do not touch My anointed ones,
and do not act wickedly against My prophets.
104:16He called a famine upon the land;
He shattered every support of bread.
104:17He sent a man ahead of them;
Joseph was sold as a slave.
104:18They humbled his feet in fetters;
his soul passed through iron,
104:19until his word came;
the Lord’s oracle put him through fire.
104:20A king sent and released him;
a ruler of peoples let him go.
104:21He appointed him lord of his house
and ruler of all his possession,
104:22to instruct his rulers as himself
and make his elders wise.
104:23Israel entered Egypt,
and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
104:24He greatly increased His people
and made them stronger than their enemies.
104:25He turned their heart to hate His people,
to deal deceitfully with His servants.
104:26He sent out Moses His servant,
Aaron whom He chose.
104:27He set among them the words of His signs
and portents in the land of Ham.
104:28He sent out darkness and made it dark,
and they provoked His words.
104:29He turned their waters into blood
and killed their fish.
104:30Their land teemed with frogs
in the chambers of their kings.
104:31He spoke, and dog-flies came,
and gnats throughout all their borders.
104:32He made their rains hail,
consuming fire in their land,
104:33and struck their vines and fig trees
and shattered every tree of their border.
104:34He spoke, and locusts came,
and locust larvae without number,
104:35and devoured all the grass in their land
and devoured the fruit of their land.
104:36He struck every firstborn in their land,
the firstfruits of all their toil,
104:37and brought them out with silver and gold,
and none among their tribes was weak.
104:38Egypt rejoiced at their departure,
for fear of them had fallen upon them.
104:39He spread a cloud as a shelter for them
and fire to light the night for them.
104:40They asked, and quail came,
and He filled them with bread from heaven.
104:41He split a rock, and waters flowed;
rivers traveled through waterless places.
104:42For He remembered His holy word
to Abraham His servant,
104:43and brought His people out in exultation
and His chosen ones in gladness.
104:44He gave them countries of nations,
and they inherited the toils of peoples,
104:45so that they might keep His ordinances
and diligently seek His law.
