111:1Hallelujah!
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord;
he will greatly delight in His commandments.
111:2His seed will be powerful in the land;
a generation of the upright will be blessed.
111:3Glory and riches are in his house,
and his righteousness remains for an age of an age.
111:4Light sprang up in darkness for the upright—
merciful, compassionate and righteous.
111:5Kind is the man who has compassion and lends;
he will manage his words with judgment.
111:6For he will never be shaken;
the righteous person will be an everlasting memorial.
111:7He will not fear an evil report;
his heart is ready to hope in the Lord.
111:8His heart is established; he shall certainly not fear,
until he looks upon his enemies.
111:9He scattered gifts; he gave to the poor.
His righteousness remains for an age of an age;
his horn will be raised in glory.
111:10A sinner will see and be angry;
he will gnash his teeth and waste away;
the desire of sinners will perish.
