How Long, Lord? Will You Forget Me Forever?

12:1For the end. A psalm of David.

12:2How long, Lord, will You forget me utterly?

How long will You turn Your face away from me?

12:3How long shall I place counsels within my soul,

pains within my heart by day?

How long will my enemy be raised above me?

12:4Look; hear me, Lord my God.

Give light to my eyes, lest I fall asleep into death,

12:5lest my enemy say, “I prevailed against him.”

Those who afflict me will exult if I am shaken.

12:6But I have hoped in Your mercy;

my heart will exult in Your salvation.

I will sing to the Lord, who has benefited me,

and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.
