11:1For the end, concerning the eighth. A psalm of David.
11:2Save me, Lord, for the holy one is gone;
for truths have become few among the sons of humankind.
11:3Each spoke empty things to his neighbor;
deceitful lips spoke with a heart and a heart.
11:4May the Lord destroy all deceitful lips
and a boastful tongue—
11:5those who said, “We will magnify our tongue;
our lips are our own; who is our lord?”
11:6“Because of the misery of the poor
and because of the groaning of the needy,
now I will arise,” says the Lord.
“I will set him in salvation; I will speak openly in him.”
11:7The sayings of the Lord are pure sayings,
silver tried by fire, tested in the earth,
purified sevenfold.
11:8You, Lord, will keep us
and preserve us from this generation and forever.
11:9The ungodly walk around;
according to Your height, You held the sons of humankind in high regard.
