Some Trust in Chariots, and Some in Horses

19:1For the end. A psalm of David.

19:2May the Lord hear you in the day of affliction;

may the name of Jacob’s God protect you.

19:3May He send you help from the sanctuary

and support you from Zion.

19:4May He remember every sacrifice of yours

and make your whole burnt offering fat.

Diapsalma.

19:5May He give you according to your heart

and fulfill all your counsel.

19:6We will exult in your salvation,

and in our God’s name we will be magnified.

May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.

19:7Now I know that the Lord saved His anointed;

He will hear him from His holy heaven;

in mighty acts is the salvation of His right hand.

19:8These rely on chariots, and those on horses,

but we will be magnified in the name of the Lord our God.

19:9They were fettered and fell,

but we rose and were set upright.

19:10Lord, save Your king,

and hear us on whatever day we call upon You.
