20:1For the end. A psalm of David.

20:2Lord, the king will rejoice in Your power

and exult greatly in Your salvation.

20:3You gave him the desire of his soul

and did not deprive him of the wish of his lips.

Diapsalma.

20:4For You met him with blessings of kindness;

You placed upon his head a crown of precious stone.

20:5He asked You for life, and You gave it to him,

length of days for the age of the age.

20:6His glory is great in Your salvation;

You will bestow glory and magnificence upon him.

20:7For You will give him blessing for the age of the age;

You will gladden him with joy in Your presence.

20:8For the king hopes in the Lord,

and through the Most High’s mercy he will certainly not be shaken.

20:9May your hand be found by all your enemies;

may your right hand find all who hate you.

20:10You will make them like a fiery furnace at the time of your presence;

the Lord in His anger will throw them into turmoil,

and fire will devour them.

20:11You will destroy their fruit from the earth

and their seed from the sons of humankind,

20:12because they directed evils against you;

they devised a counsel they will certainly be unable to establish.

20:13For you will make them turn their backs;

among your remaining ones you will prepare their face.

20:14Be exalted, Lord, in Your power;

we will sing and make music of Your mighty acts.
