23:1A psalm of David, for the first day of the week.

The earth and its fullness belong to the Lord,

the inhabited world and all who dwell in it.

23:2He founded it upon seas

and prepared it upon rivers.

23:3Who will ascend the Lord’s mountain,

and who will stand in His holy place?

23:4One innocent in hands and pure in heart,

who did not take up his soul for emptiness

and did not swear deceitfully to his neighbor.

23:5This one will receive blessing from the Lord

and mercy from God his Savior.

23:6This is the generation of those who seek Him,

who seek the face of Jacob’s God.

23:7Your rulers—lift up gates!

And be raised, eternal gates,

and the King of glory will enter.

23:8Who is this King of glory?

The Lord, strong and powerful;

the Lord, powerful in war.

23:9Your rulers—lift up gates!

23:10Who is this King of glory?

The Lord of powers—He is the King of glory.
