Send Out Your Light and Your Truth to Lead Me

42:1A psalm of David.

Judge me, God, and judge my case against an unholy nation;

rescue me from an unjust and deceitful person.

42:2For You, God, are my strength; why did You thrust me away?

And why do I walk downcast while my enemy oppresses me?

42:3Send out Your light and Your truth;

they guided me and brought me to Your holy mountain

and to Your dwellings.

42:4Then I will enter toward God’s altar,

toward God who gladdens my youth;

I will thank You with the lyre, God, my God.

42:5Why are you deeply grieved, soul, and why do you disturb me?

Hope in God, for I will thank Him:

my God is the salvation of my face.
