Greek Psalm 8

Out of the Mouths of Infants You Have Perfected Praise

8:1For the end, concerning the winepresses. A psalm of David.

8:2Lord our Lord, how wondrous is Your name in all the earth,

for Your magnificence was raised above the heavens.

8:3From the mouth of infants and nursing children You prepared praise,

because of Your enemies,

to bring down the enemy and the avenger.

8:4For I will see the heavens, works of Your fingers,

the moon and stars which You founded:

8:5what is a human being, that You remember him,

or a son of man, that You visit him?

8:6You made him a little lower than angels;

You crowned him with glory and honor,

8:7and appointed him over the works of Your hands;

You subjected everything beneath his feet:

8:8all sheep and cattle,

and also the animals of the plain,

8:9the birds of heaven and the fish of the sea,

those that travel along the paths of seas.

8:10Lord our Lord,

how wondrous is Your name in all the earth!
