The Sons of Issachar

7:1Issachar’s sons: Thola, Phoua, Jasoub, and Semeron, four.

7:2Thola’s sons: Ozi, Raphaia, Jeriel, Jemou, Jebasam, and Samuel, rulers of their ancestral houses belonging to Thola, mighty in strength according to their generations. Their number in David’s days was twenty-two thousand six hundred.

7:3Ozi’s sons: Jezria. Jezria’s sons: Michael, Obdia, Joel, and Jesia, five, all rulers.

7:4With them, according to their generations and paternal houses, were mighty men to draw up for war, thirty-six thousand, for they had multiplied wives and sons.

7:5Their brothers in all Issachar’s ancestral families were mighty in strength, eighty-seven thousand, the number of them all.

The Sons of Benjamin

7:6Benjamin: Bale, Bachir, and Jadiel, three.

7:7Bale’s sons: Asebon, Ozi, Oziel, Jerimoth, and Ouri, five, rulers of paternal houses, mighty in strength. Their number was twenty-two thousand thirty-four.

7:8Bachir’s sons: Zamarias, Joash, Eliezer, Elithenan, Amaria, Jerimoth, Abiou, Anathoth, and Gemeeth. All these were Bachir’s sons.

7:9Their number according to their generations, rulers of their ancestral houses, mighty in strength, was twenty thousand two hundred.

7:10Jadiel’s sons: Balaan. Balaan’s sons: Jaous, Benjamin, Ehud, Chanana, Zaithan, Ramessai, and Achisaar.

7:11All these were Jadiel’s sons, rulers of ancestral families, mighty in strength, seventeen thousand two hundred who went out in force to fight.

7:12Sapphin and Apphin, and Raom’s sons; his son Aer.

The Sons of Naphtali

7:13Naphtali’s sons: Jasiel, Goni, Issier, and Salom, Balaa’s sons.

The Sons of Manasseh

7:14Manasseh’s sons: Aseriel, whom his Syrian concubine bore; she bore Machir, Galaad’s father.

7:15Machir took a wife for Amphin and Mamphin. His sister’s name was Moocha, and the second one’s name was Salpaad. Daughters were born to Salpaad.

7:16Moocha, Machir’s wife, bore a son and named him Phares. His brother’s name was Soros; his son was Oulam.

7:17Oulam’s sons: Badan. These were the sons of Galaad son of Machir son of Manasseh.

7:18His sister Malecheth bore Isadek, Abiezer, and Maela.

7:19Semira’s sons were Jaaim, Sychem, Lakei, and Aniam.

The Sons of Ephraim

7:20Ephraim’s sons: Sothala; Barad his son, Thaath his son, Eleada his son, Nomee his son,

7:21Zabed his son, Sothele his son, and Ezer and Elead. The men of Geth who were born in the land killed them because they went down to take their livestock.

7:22Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brothers came to comfort him.

7:23He went in to his wife, and she conceived and bore a son. He named him Baraga, because ‘It happened amid troubles in my house.’

7:24Among those remaining, he built Lower and Upper Baithoron. Ozan’s sons: Seera,

7:25and Raphe, his sons; Raseph and Thale, his sons; Thaen his son.

7:26For Laadan his son: Amioud his son, Elisama his son,

7:27Noum his son, Joshua his son.

The Possessions of Ephraim

7:28Their possession and dwelling place were Bethel and its villages; eastward, Naaran; westward, Gazer and its villages; and Sychem and its villages as far as Gaian and its villages.

7:29As far as the boundaries of Manasseh’s sons were Baithsaan and its villages, Thaanach and its villages, Balad and its villages, Mageddo and its villages, and Dor and its villages. In these lived the sons of Joseph son of Israel.

The Sons of Asher

7:30Asher’s sons: Jemna, Isoua, Isoui, and Beriga, and Sore their sister.

7:31Beriga’s sons: Chaber and Melchiel, who was Berzaith’s father.

7:32Chaber fathered Japhalet, Samer, Chotham, and Sola their sister.

7:33Japhalet’s sons: Phesechi, Bamael, and Asith. These were Japhalet’s sons.

7:34Semmer’s sons: Achiouraoga, Oba, Aram,

7:35and Baneelam. His brothers were Sopha, Imana, Selles, and Amal.

7:36Sopha’s sons: Chouchi, Arnaphar, Soual, Bari, and Imare,

7:37Sobal, Od, Semma, Salisa, Jethran, and Beera.

7:38Jether’s sons: Iphina, Phaspha, and Ara.

7:39Ola’s sons: Orech, Aniel, and Rasia.

7:40All these were Asher’s sons, all rulers of ancestral families, chosen men, mighty in strength, leading rulers. Their number for the battle line in war, their number, was twenty-six thousand men.
