The Kings East of the Jordan

12:1These are the kings of the land whom the sons of Israel killed, whose land they inherited beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise, from the Arnon ravine to Mount Hermon and all the land of Arabah eastward:

12:2Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon, ruling from Aroer, which is in the ravine, along part of the ravine, and half of Gilead as far as Jabbok, the borders of the sons of Ammon,

12:3and Arabah as far as the Sea of Chinnereth toward the east, and as far as the Sea of Arabah, the Salt Sea on the east, by the road toward Asimoth, from Thaiman beneath Asedoth Phasga;

12:4and Og king of Bashan remained from the giants, dwelling in Ashtaroth and Edrei,

12:5ruling from Mount Hermon and Salcah over all Bashan as far as the borders of Geshur and Maacah, and half of Gilead, the borders of Sihon king of Heshbon.

12:6Moses the servant of the Lord and the sons of Israel struck them, and Moses gave it as an inheritance to Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.

The Kings West of the Jordan

12:7These are the kings of the Amorites whom Joshua and the sons of Israel killed beyond the Jordan toward the sea, at Baal-gad in the plain of Lebanon and as far as Mount Chelcha on the ascent to Seir. Joshua gave it to the tribes of Israel to inherit according to their lot,

12:8in the mountain, the plain, Arabah, Asedoth, the wilderness, and the Negeb: the Hittite, Amorite, Canaanite, Perizzite, Hivite, and Jebusite:

12:9the king of Jericho and the king of Ai, which is near Bethel;

12:10the king of Jerusalem; the king of Hebron;

12:11the king of Jarmuth; the king of Lachish;

12:12the king of Ailam; the king of Gezer;

12:13the king of Debir; the king of Geder;

12:14the king of Hormah; the king of Arad;

12:15the king of Libnah; the king of Adullam;

12:16the king of Makkedah;

12:17the king of Taphoug; the king of Hepher;

12:18the king of Aphek of Sharon;

12:19the king of Hazor;

12:20the king of Symoon; the king of Marron; the king of Aziph;

12:21the king of Kedesh; the king of Taanach;

12:22the king of Megiddo; the king of Jokneam in Carmel;

12:23the king of Dor in Napheddor; the king of Goiim in Galilee;

12:24the king of Tirzah. All these kings: twenty-nine.
