Greek–English: Literal-Smooth (Saints Priority)

20:2 You shall speak to the sons of Israel: If anyone of the sons of Israel, or of the resident foreigners who have joined Israel, gives any of his offspring to a ruler, let him be put to death. The nation upon the land shall stone him with stones.

Verse 20:3 Disparate

Hebrew–English: Literal-Smooth (Rabbinic Priority)

Greek–English: Literal-Smooth (Saints Priority)

20:3 I will set My face against that man and destroy him from among his people, because he gave some of his offspring to a ruler, defiling My holy things and profaning the name of those consecrated to Me.

Classification & Notes

Disparate. Besides Molech/ruler, My holy name becomes the name of those consecrated to Me. Greek shifts the object of profanation from the divine name to consecrated persons or things.

Verse 20:4 Disparate

Hebrew–English: Literal-Smooth (Rabbinic Priority)

20:4 If the people of the land deliberately close their eyes to that man when he gives some of his offspring to Molech, and do not put him to death,
