People brought children, even infants, to Jesus so that He might touch them, lay His hands on them, and pray. Seeing it, the disciples rebuked those bringing them. But Jesus was indignant. He called the children to Him and said, “Let the children come to Me; do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will certainly not enter it.” He embraced them, laid His hands upon them, and blessed them. Then He went on from there.
