Jesus knew what they intended and withdrew with His disciples to the sea. A great multitude came from Galilee, Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, beyond the Jordan, and the region of Tyre and Sidon, having heard all He was doing. He healed them all. He told His disciples to have a small boat ready because the afflicted pressed upon Him to touch Him, and He did not want the crowd to crush Him. Whenever the unclean spirits saw Him, they fell before Him and cried, “You are the Son of God!” He sternly warned them not to make Him known.

This was so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled: “Behold, My Servant whom I chose, My beloved in whom My soul was well pleased. I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He will proclaim justice to the nations. He will not quarrel or cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets. He will not break a bruised reed or extinguish a smoldering wick, until He brings justice forth to victory. And nations will hope in His name.”
