Woven from Matthew 16:1–4 · Mark 8:11–13

The Pharisees and Sadducees came out and disputed with Jesus, testing Him by asking for a sign from heaven. He sighed deeply in His spirit and asked, “Why does this generation seek a sign?”

He answered them, “When evening comes, you say, ‘Fair weather, for the sky is red.’ And in the morning, ‘Today a storm, for the sky is red and gloomy.’ You know how to distinguish the face of the sky, but you cannot distinguish the signs of the times. An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” He left them and went away.

He left them, boarded again, and went away to the other side.
