10:1For the end. A psalm of David.

In the Lord I have trusted.

How will you say to my soul,

“Move away to the mountains like a little bird”?

10:2For look, sinners bent a bow;

they prepared arrows for a quiver,

to shoot down in the moonless dark the upright in heart.

10:3For what You established, they pulled down;

but what did the righteous person do?

10:4The Lord is in His holy temple;

the Lord—His throne is in heaven.

His eyes look toward the needy;

His eyelids examine the sons of humankind.

10:5The Lord examines the righteous and the ungodly;

but the one who loves injustice hates his own soul.

10:6He will rain traps upon sinners;

fire, sulfur, and a storm wind are the portion of their cup.

10:7For the Lord is righteous and loved righteous deeds;

His face beheld uprightness.
