Repent and Believe
29. To repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.
From then on Jesus began to proclaim, “Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.”

32. You must be born from above, of water and Spirit.

34. To enter through the narrow gate.
Enter through the narrow gate, because the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. Because the gate is narrow and the road constricted that leads to life, and few find it.

Follow Me
35. To come after Him.
He said to them, “Come after Me, and I will make you fishers of people.”

36. To deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Him.
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will find it.

37. To come to Him, take His yoke, and learn from Him.

39. To count the cost: whoever does not renounce all that he has cannot be His disciple.
“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple. Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. For which of you, wanting to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the expense, whether he has enough to finish it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is unable to complete it, all who see it may begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was unable to finish.’ Or what king, going to meet another king in war, will not first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet the one coming against him with twenty thousand? And if not, while the other is still far away, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace. So, therefore, every one of you who does not renounce all his own possessions cannot be My disciple.

Hear and Keep
41. To hear His words and do them, like the man who built upon the rock.
Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them will be likened to a prudent man who built his house upon the rock. The rain came down, the rivers came, and the winds blew and fell upon that house, and it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be likened to a foolish man who built his house upon the sand. 43. To remain in Him and in His love.
