Similitude 9.21.1 Those who believed from the fourth mountain, which has many plants, green at the top but dry near the roots, with some also dried by the sun, are like this: some are double-minded, and some have the Lord on their lips but not in their heart.

Similitude 9.21.2 For this reason their foundations are dry and have no power. Only their words live, but their works are dead. Such people are neither alive nor dead. They therefore resemble the double-minded, for the double-minded are neither green nor dry, neither alive nor dead.

Similitude 9.21.3 For just as these plants dried up when they saw the sun, so also the double-minded, when they hear of affliction, worship idols because of their cowardice and are ashamed of their Lord's name.

Similitude 9.21.4 Such people, therefore, are neither alive nor dead. Yet if these too repent quickly, they will be able to live. But if they do not repent, they have already been handed over to the women who take away their life.
