After the Sabbath, as it dawned toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to view the tomb.

They departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy and ran to report to His disciples.

And behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Greetings!” They came, grasped His feet, and worshiped Him.

Then Jesus said to them, “Do not fear. Go and report to My brothers that they should go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.”

As they went, behold, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened.

They gathered with the elders and took counsel, then gave a considerable amount of silver to the soldiers,

saying, “Say, ‘His disciples came by night and stole Him while we slept.’

If this is heard before the governor, we will persuade him and make you free from worry.”

They took the silver and did as they were instructed. This account was spread among Jews until this very day.

The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had directed them.

When they saw Him, they worshiped, but some doubted.
