John’s proclamation

Verse 3:1

Text: NA28 reads [αὐτῷ] after ἠνεῴχθησαν and [καὶ] before ἐρχόμενον, with the articles τὸ and τοῦ (SBLGNT omits all four); the rendering above follows SBLGNT — NA28 would read “the heavens were opened to Him” — and the English “and” before “coming” is a connective, not a rendering of [καὶ] (collated against TAGNT edition marks, not a printed NA28 apparatus).

Verse 3:17
